Hi, I'm Erin; my role is to guide you through nourishing your body to live your best life. I'm here to remind you food is your friend!
In a previous life, I worked in the fitness industry; it was during this time I discovered many of my clients had a greater need for quality nutrition advice than they had for assistance with exercise. As personal trainers are not qualified to give nutrition advice, I decided to go back to university and nurture my love for all things food and nutrition.
My objective is to help you reach your nutrition goals in a healthy way, whilst developing and maintaining your friendship with food. Using an evidence-based, client-led approach, I work with YOU to focus on your preferences and needs to enable you to implement sustainable and realistic changes for long-term success.
Learn how your gut and microbiome (the community of bugs that live in your gut) affect your overall health. I can help you work through detecting and managing food intolerances, managing irritable bowel syndrome & nutrition for other disorders of the GI tract, such as diverticular disease.
FITNESS & SPORT NUTRITION
If you're an active person I can help you learn how to make food choices that optimise your training, performance and importantly, your recovery. I take a holistic approach to helping learn about the components of food, how they relate to your body's energy systems, hydration and other factors that can affect your performance.
Wait? I'm a dietitian right? Yup, but many of us forget that we have a relationship with the food we eat. Food is more than just fuel to be consumed. Food has emotional and cultural significance, and we can't forget that. I can help you improve your relationship with food, and your body through demystifying the science of food and nutrition and debunking misinformation.
Who I Work With
Throughout my career, I have consulted with clients from the general population, people living with chronic disease, and semi-professional and recreational athletes across a range of activities. I pride myself on my friendly, non-judgemental and realistic approach to nutrition care.
In my spare time, you’ll find me lifting weights, being a film geek, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, travelling and sampling different foods from around the world. Or simply staying in and enjoying time with my husband and very spoiled cats!
